Mine Safety Appliance Company Ultra AireŽ HEPA Filter

Our industrial size HEPA filter is NOS (new old stock) in the original unopened box. It was made in the USA by Mine Safety Appliance, the leader in industrial safety products. This filter was originally purchased by the United States Government for use in the unfinished WPPS Nuclear Power Plant. Due to budget overruns, the project was abandoned and the materials were sold as surplus. It was another HUGE waste of taxpayer money, but you can still personally benefit from this case of government waste.

• Frame -- 14 gauge cadmium plated steel with return bend on all four sides of both ends
• Separators-- .0015" thick aluminum
• Media - per MIL-F51079B as called out under MUL-F51068D
• Face guards on both faces - 23 gauge - 4x4 mesh hardware cloth
• Adhesive - rubber base per MIL-F51068D
• Gaskets - 1/4" thick x 5/8" wide - sponge neoprene - Grade SCE 43 or 44
• Filter media will be all glass with a maximum 5% binder and it is waterproof.
• The filter has a minimum efficiency of 99.97% on 0.3 micron DOP smoke when tested per MIL-Standard 282. Dust holding capacity, when loaded to 2-inch pressure drop at rated flow with NBS Dust, will be at least five pounds. The filter carries a UL-label certifying compliance with UL-586.

Using a pre-filter will increase the lifespan and efficiency of your HEPA filter. Our Pre-Filters are specifically designed for use with the MSA Ultra AireŽ HEPA filter.
